He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Bernard and Julie Bernard (Therrien); his daughters, Lisa Bernard and Yvette Reynolds; and his siblings, Roger, Omer Bernard, Bernadette Bernard, Yvette Bernard and Bertha Clavette.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Bernard (Robinson); his children, Tracy Clavette (Andrew) of Woodstock, NB and Rolanda Bernard-Docker (Thomas) of Canmore, AB; his stepchildren, Randy Cosman (Caroline) of Rothesay, NB, Roger Cosman (Keely) of Saint John, NB and Tanya Cannon (Jason) of Saint John, NB; his siblings, Camille Bernard (Angela) of Rivière-Verte, Robert Bernard of Moncton, NB, Aline Albert of Brunswick, Maine, Leontine Clavette (Gerald) of Edmunston, NB, Albertine Renguette (Reginald) of Rivière-Verte, NB, Raymonde Corriveau of Moncton, NB and Linda Bernard (Rejean) of Rivière-Verte, NB; and his son Jason. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
