It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Poirier (Moncton, New Brunswick), born in Richibucto, New Brunswick, who passed away on July 6, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tilmon Poirier and Madeleine Poirier; his wife Ruth Poirier; and his brothers, Bob and Raymond.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Poirier (Shelley) of Moncton, Michelle Poirier (Randy Smith) of Moncton and Shary Jones (Travis) of Moncton; his siblings, Leonard Poirier (Gladys) of Edmonton, AB, Leatha LeBlanc of Riverview and Paulette Bourque (Peter) of Rothesay; his grandchildren, Madison, Owen, Nathan and Katie; and his close friend Jack Cameron. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Whether it was a local tournament or traveling overseas, little did they know that the bond being created would lay the foundation for this extended family that still exists today.
