He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Jackson and Dorothy Jackson (Rowlands); his wife Barbara (Simmons); and his brother David Jackson. He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Thompson (Barry) and Karen Cormier (David); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Thompson (Amanda), Lindsay Cormier and Joshua Cormier; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Miles Thompson.
