He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Roy and Marguerite Roy (Arsenault); and his siblings, Rita, Eric, Robert (Bobby), Lawrence and Patricia.

He is survived by: his wife Cécile (Pelletier); his children, Marilène Roy Landry (Christian) of Moncton and Philippe Roy of Moncton; his siblings, Gisèle Laroche (Gilles) of Shediac, Émile Roy of Moncton and Jean-Maurice (Marie-Anne Arsenault) of Saint-Paul; and his brothers-in-law, Laurent Pelletier (Fleur-Ange Miller) of Laval, QC and Wilfrid Pelletier (Véronique) of Moncton. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
