He was predeceased by: his parents, Alec Burton and Mary Johanna Burton (Bell); his former wife Joan (Webb); his siblings, Tom, Vincent, Ilene and Shirley Trites; his son-in-law Dave Hanson; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald, David Webb, Loretta Burton, Carole Burton and Joan Webb.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannine (Poisson); his siblings, Douglas and Barbara; his children, Denise (Fred Morley), Janine (Ron Meyers), Christine, Marianne (Donald Flinn), Michelle and Peter; his stepsons, Jason Sommerville (Melanie) and Jeremy Sommerville (Janet); his grandchildren, Claire (Tom Adams), Colleen (Joey Hollis), Dylan, Abbey, Shawn and Nathan; his great grandchild Nicholas; his stepgrandchildren, Julien, Kailey, Isaac, Liara and Alia; and his siblings-in-law, Jocelyn Webb (Suzie Officer), Lorraine (Mike Mallory), Francine (Jim Millen), Gisele Poisson, Anita (Alan Silmser), Stephen Webb (Marilyn Fraser) and Donald Poisson.
