He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Melanson and Evangeline Melanson (LeBlanc); and his siblings, Lucille (Eric) and Frank. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne (Duplacey); his stepdaughter Rachelle Donovan (Leigh) of Quispamsis; his grandchildren, Mary, Adrianna and Ellie; his brother Roger of Oshawa, ON; and his sister-in-law Carole Phifer of Winchester, ON. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
