Omer Cormier Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Omer Cormier (Moncton, New Brunswick), who passed away on March 7, 2021 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Omer Cormier to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ladislas Cormier and Lina LeBlanc (Libi); his sons, John and Daniel; his great grandchild Evan Maynard; and his siblings, Elva Bourgeois (late Emile), Huberte Trudel (late René), Jeannette Belliveau (late Donald), Helene Pyke (late Bill), Hervé (Theresa), Eric (late Marie), Arthur (Ann) and Jean-Paul (Geraldine).

He is survived by: his wife Georgie; his children, Pauline Duerr (William), Gisele Saulnier (Ray), Trish Levesque (Robin), Fred (Cheryl) and Pat (Vicki Lynn); his grandchildren, Jaime Maynard (Dave), Christopher Cormier (April), Dr. Kristine Duerr, Stefanie Duerr (Craig Gordon), Paul Duerr, Nicholas Cormier (Christine Grondin), Carla Gates (Gabriel), Timothy Saulnier (Jennifer) and Jennifer Saulnier (Michael Winand); his stepgrandchildren, Becca Boutilier (Andrew Byers) and Curtis Boutilier (Megan); his great grandchildren, Evangeline, Iris Maynard, Ella, Silas Cormier and Theo Gates; his stepgreat-granddaughter Audrey Byers; his sister Pauline Laverdure; and his sisters-in-law, Geraldine Cormier and Ann Cormier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of Omer's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to any soup kitchen would be greatly appreciated by the family.
