He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Devarennes and Bertha Devarennes (White); and his brother Raymond. He is survived by: his wife Maria Devarennes (Gallant); his siblings, Gérald (Corinne) of Dieppe, Harold (France) of Moncton, Patsy Gache (Sam) of Kenya, Africa and Betty Hallman (Sonny) of Fredericton; and his sister-in-law Adeline Devarennes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In Normand's memory, a donation can be made to the Fonds de Bourse de Grande-Digue Inc., 16 rue Inglis, Shediac, NB, E4P 8T1.
