He was predeceased by: his parents, Yvon Gallant and Alexina Gallant (Richard); and his siblings, Paul, Germaine Hébert, Pauline Belliveau and Rachel Gauvin.

He is survived by: his wife Rosia (Cormier); his sons, Bernard and Robert; his siblings, Léonard (late Loretta), Donald, Fernand (Dorothé), Vincent (Charline) and Viola Savoie; and his siblings-in-law, Jeannette Gallant, Albert Hébert and Léo Belliveau. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
