It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Muriel Mawhinney (Moncton, New Brunswick), born in Deer Island, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 6, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Heber McCarthy and Edna McCarthy; her daughter Jennifer Mawhinney March; her brother Everett Richardson; and her brother-in-law Hollis Matthews.

She is survived by: her spouse Gordon Mawhinney; her son Gordon Mawhinney (Cynthia DeKluyver) of Rothesay; her siblings, Stanley Richardson (Merva) of Fredericton and Patricia Matthews of Vancouver; her sister-in-law Vera Richardson of Fredericton; and also, Jane Franklin (Nick) of Halifax, N. S., Joel Mawhinney (Brenda Colpitts) of Riverview and John Mawhinney (Jane) of Moncton, N. B. She is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
