He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Claudette; and his niece Melanie. He is survived by: his daughters, Kerri Flemming (Brad) and Kristie Flemming; his grandchildren, Tristin, Kayla, Tre, Landys and Jack; and his sister Julie Leblanc (Michel).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Field of Dreams Moncton, a charity close to his dear niece's heart, in Michael's memory.
