Marie Justine Biddle Obituary

Marie Justine Biddle (Jessie), of Moncton, passed away peacefully with family around her at the Kenneth E. Spenser Memorial Nursing Home on December 17, 2022. Born in Kent Lake, NB she was the youngest daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste Chevarie and Lucie (Maranda) Chevarie. She is pre-deceased by her first husband, Jerry Sollows, her parents and many of her siblings.

She will be missed by her husband, John Biddle, and her children, Diane McLaughlin (Tim), Jerry Sollows (Patti), Mike Sollows (Darlene) and Robb Sollows (Carrie); her 11 grandchildren; Jeff (Meghan), Angela (Joey), Sarah, Emily (Lori), Josh (Terra), Erica (Max), Ben (Andrea), Matt (Corinne), Jeremy (Cat), Cody (India), Courtney (Chris) and 6 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her step children. Jessie will be fondly remembered for many things. She was well-known on the Miramichi River for a lot of years, having caught a 28.5 lb salmon in September of 1978; not a fish story, her picture was even in the newspaper at the time. After the passing of her first husband, she went looking for a dance partner and ended up finding another husband, John, who has been by her side during her lengthy illness. There will be a celebration of her life at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home (Salisbury Road) at 2:00 PM on Friday December 23, 2022. This will be a time for us to bid her farewell and to tell stories, sing songs and remember her for who she was. Fair Haven Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In leu of flowers donations can be made to the Kenneth E. Spencer's Memorial Home or Alzheimer's Society.
