He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Gallant and Eleonore Gallant (Goguen); his wife Blanche Gallant (Brine); and his siblings, Andréa, Germaine, Maria, Thérèse, Angela, Leonce, Laure and Camille.

He is survived by: his daughter Susanne Gallant (Timothy Manuge) of Toronto, ON; his granddaughter Laura Manuge of Banff, AB; and his siblings, Roger (Rolande) of Dieppe, Lucille Chisolm (late Leonard) of Lunenburg, NS, Raoul (Ghislaine) of Grand-Barachois, Roméo (late Patricia "Pat") of Windsor, ON and Louis of Shediac. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
