He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Finnigan and Angelie Finnigan (Doucet); his daughter Shawntell Reddy; his siblings, Maria Maloney, Malcolm, Gerard, Armand, Leandre and Leo Finnigan; and the mother of his children Mary (Dean).

He is survived by: his wife Janet Finnigan (Gallupe); his children, Charlotte Goguen (Louis), Theresa Forbes (Stewart Johnson), Richard Finnigan (Annette) and Trevor Finnigan (Carlie); his stepdaughters, Susan Martin of Tennessee, Joy Bourque (Marcel) of Moncton and Pamela Holdsworth of Riverview; his grandchildren, Jamie Goguen (Michelina), Angela Martin (Mario), Kelsey Sippley, Bella Reddy and Willow Reddy; his stepgrandchildren, Michael Martin (Melissa), Brent Martin (Courtney), Brandon Bourque and Lauren Holdsworth; and his siblings, Eva Bourque of Rogersville, Claudia Bourque of Rogersville, Theresa Bourque of Rogersville and Fernand Finnigan (Ozina) of Coquitlam, BC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
