She was predeceased by: her parents, Merville Allen and Hazel Allen (McGlashing); her husband Laurie; her son Kevin; her siblings, Sherman, Sheldon, Edna and Zelda; and her brother-in-law Odis Crawford.

She is survived by: her adoptive daughter Tanya Vinton; her grandchildren, Douglas, Kayla and Hayley; her great grandchildren, Maria and Jonah; her brothers, Jack Allen (Tatty), Donald Allen (Kathy) and Jerry Allen (Ann); and her siblings-in-law, Muriel Allen, Linda Allen, Vivian Allen, Frances Robertson and Sandy Knox (Allegra). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
