She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Mazerolle and Joyce Mazerolle; her son Edward Melanson; and her siblings, Brenda LeBlanc and Raymond Mazerolle.

She is survived by: her son Steven Melanson (Kathy) of Moncton; her siblings, Barbara Barley (Roger) of Moncton, Tina White (Bruce) of Moncton and Freddie (Edith) of Dieppe; and her grandchildren, Melissa Gallant of Moncton, Crystal Gallant (Gilbert), Nicole Melanson (Corey) and Eve Boudreau (Paul) of Dieppe. She is also survived by her seven great grandchildren and friends.
