He was predeceased by: his parents, Lulu Lavers and James Macumber (Jim); and his siblings, Russ, Ira, Annabel, Nelly, Kay, Florence and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Laura; his children, Joy Kingsbury, Laura McNamara (Robert) and Johnie Macumber (Jenny); his grandchildren, Megan Flanigan (Greg), Kelsey McNamara, Jordan McNamara and Kyle Macumber; his great grandchild Finnley Flanigan; and his siblings, Pam, Mary, Spencer, Vernon and Alfred. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Eagles Funeral Home (1611 N Main St, Westville, NS B0K 2A0).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross in John's memory.
