He was predeceased by: his parents, Milledge Melvin and Mary Melvin (Price); his wife Violet M. Melvin; and his siblings, Phyllis Leblanc (Dollard), Madeline DeWitt (Steve), Geneva Jones (Norman), Joyce Walsh, Darlene Melvin, Joe Melvin and Brian Melvin.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Alward (Paul), Beverly Haines (Frank) of Lower Coverdale, Karen Sanford (Andy), Holly Carson (Greg) of Elgin, Cindy Alcorn (Grant) of Saint John and Merle Melvin (Michelle) of Riverview; and his sisters, Daisy Bone (Wally) and Sharron VanBuskirk (Bob). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren.
