He is survived by: his wife Maureen (Mullane); his children, Erin (Dean), MacPherson (Hector) and Colin Dean; his grandchildren, Callum and Lily; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Carroll of Halifax, Cathy Crosby of Halifax and Jon Mullane of Mahone Bay. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
