He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Donelle and Emma Donelle (Duguay); and his son Michael. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth (Leger); his children, Catherine-Ann Schneider (Bill) of Lowman, NY, Francine Drake (late Josh) of Altus, OK and Bernard (Perry Paddock) of Moncton; his grandchildren, Ryan, Alisha and Joshua; his great grandchildren, Lori-Beth, Trace and Rolan; and his siblings, Jeannette, Clorice (Jeanine), Donald (late Ruth), Fred (Lita), Paul (Annette) and Willie. He is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.
