She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Steeves and Winnifred Steeves (West); her husband Donald "Don" Girvan; and her siblings, Tremaine, Eleanor, Betty and Audrey.

She is survived by: her sons, Jim Girvan, Danny Girvan (Nancy) and Matthew Girvan; her niece Lee Geddes; and her brother Peter Steeves (Marilyn). She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
