She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank DesRoches and Marie DesRoches (Dugas); her husband Arthur; and her sisters, Dorilla Allain (Robert) and Jeannette Cormier (Yvon).
She is survived by: her close friends, Patsy Hinchey (Allen) and Linda Pagliacci (Vincent); her great grandchildren, Sophie Robinson (Doug), Seth, Emily, Danielle Mills (Kade), Rion, Reina, Nate Scribner (Marina), Sutton, Selena, Tammy Scribner, Makayla and Tyler; her siblings, Andy DesRoches (Clara), Phyllis Légèr (Jules), Claudette Chase (Bryan), Thérèse Mancari (Fred), Catherine Doucett (Robert), Bobby DesRoches (Rita), Yvette DesRoches and Yvonne DesRoches (Pierre); her friend Doreen Desmond; her sister Cathy; her niece Linda; her sister Doreen; and her niece Debbie Melanson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions and keeping with Irène's wishes, a ceremony of life will follow when it is safe to do so.
In lieu of flowers, in memory of Irène, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the MS Society, or the Alzheimer Society would greatly be appreciated.
