He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Shortliffe and Shirley Shortliffe; and his sister Sharon (McGregor). He is survived by: his significant other Jacqueline Durette; his children, Courtney Colling and Hubert Christopher "Chris" Shortliffe (Sarah); his siblings, Paula Richard (Roland), Linda Brandlien (Tom) and Allan Shortliffe (Kristiana); and his grandchildren, Finnegan, Sadie, Sydney, Keegan and Trent. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
