He was predeceased by: his parent William Smith; his siblings, Edna Smith, Dorothy Tingley (Clarence), Mary Hughes (Frank), George (Ann), Ken (Hazel), Edwin (Agnes), Robert and Walter; his niece Berna Herout (Smith); his nephew Kenny Smith; and his great-nephew Rob Tingley.
He is survived by: his parent Lulu Smith (MacKenzie); his stepparent Florence Smith (McKenzie); his wife Winnifred Smith (McKinley); his daughters, Brenda, Lee of Halifax, Angela and Juanita of Moncton; and his siblings, Carol Bartol (John) of Windsor, NS, Winston Smith (Eileen) of Ottawa and Alice Smith (late Walter) of Vancouver. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
