He is survived by: his spouse Betty; his children, Heather Hemming of Carleton Place, ON, Deborah Smith of Carleton Place, ON, Derrick Smith of Carleton Place, ON and Scott Smith of Carleton Place, ON; his grandchildren, Matthew, Deborah, William, Alexander, Sonya, Blake, Blaise, Joshua and Maya; his great grandchildren, Lilia, Alexa, Sadie and Rosalie; and his niece Pam Noble.
