He was predeceased by: his parent Norman Carson; his wife Augusta Carson; his children, Sharon Macleod and David MacLeod; and his siblings, Ralph, Audrey and Phyllis.

He is survived by: his parent Martha Carson (Sutherland); his children, Myrna Dorcas (Ken) of Riverview, NB, Eric (Karon) and Michael (Susan); his grandchildren, Scott Dorcas (Amie), Jennifer Carson, Keith MacLeod and Ryan Carson; his great grandchildren, Skyla, Bailey, Benjamin, Oliver and Also; and his sisters, Jean MacDonald, Beatrice Alward and Mary Wood (Bob).
