He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Guérette and Germaine Guérette (Normandeau); and his siblings, Robert and Lise Schuman. He is survived by: his wife Thérèse LaForge; his children, Jean-Marc and Marie-Josée; his granddaughter Noémie Gaïa Pitre (Justin Rioux) of St. John's, Newfoundland; his siblings, Jean (Sonia Vigneault) of Ottawa, Paul (Lisette Couturier) of Shediac, Jacques (Diane Savoie) of Campbellton, Suzanne (James MacGregor) of Morocco and Anne (Armel Audet) of Eel River; and his sister-in-law Micheline Lavallée-Guérette of Moncton.
