He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Poirier; his siblings, Nélida (late Hervé Gagnon), Clarisse (late Huntley McLaughlin), Émile (late Léola), Irénée (late Imelda) and Aldrice (Dorice); and his son Harvey Cormier.
He is survived by: his parent Annie Poirier (Allain); his wife Flora (Hasselman); his children, Roméo (Patricia) of Ottawa, Denise (Bob), Joanne (Eugène LeBlanc) and Ginette (Paul Gauvin) of Irishtown; and his grandchildren, Sébastien, Michel, Jean, Simon, Marie, Michelle, Marc, André, Daniel, Nicolas, Mario, Denis, Maxime, Xavier, Liliane, Julie and Tristan. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
