He is survived by: his parent Bertha Gallant (Roy); his daughters, Susan McGary (Thomas) of Dedham, MA and Julie Gallant (Billy) of Westminster, MA; his siblings, Gaston Gallant (Thelma) of Oklahoma City, OK, Auguste Gallant (Pauline) of Moncton, Roland Gallant of Moncton, Marie Melanson (Ronald) of Moncton, Dolorès Belliveau (late Jean-Paul) of Moncton, Cécile Drisdelle of Moncton, Patsy Gallant (Ronnie) of Irishtown and Jacinthe Bourque (Frank) of Shediac; his former wife Simonne LeBlanc of Dieppe; and his grandchildren, Christopher and Derek. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
