He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric Després and Anna Després (Bourgeois); his wife Rachel; and his siblings, Gracia Després, Jeanne Cormier (Delphis) and Joseph (Florence).

He is survived by: his children, Lucille Donegani (Doug) of Riverview, Eric (Elena Calvo) of Gatineau, Gérarda (Janice Langis) of Dieppe, Charles (Marie-Line) of Fredericton, Annette (Charles Robichaud) of Riverview and Claude (Shawn Steele) of Moncton; his grandchildren, James, David, Stephen, Daniel, Elisabeth, Raquel, Sébastien, Nathaniel, Justin and Gabrielle; his great grandchildren, Samantha, Kyle, Cynthia, Brooke, Michael, William, Eva and Aliza; and his brother Donat (late Oliva) of Moncton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
