He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Bastarache and Imelda Bastarache (Gauvin); and his siblings, Melina, Lucille, Thérèse, Mary Ann and Tilmond.

He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his son Frankie (Sherri) of Moncton; his granddaughter Harlie; and his siblings, Albina Thériault (George), Rose Rioux (Denis), Bernice Christiaens (Lowrence), John, Paul, Edmond and Henri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
