She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Murray and Myrtle Murray (Brown); her husband Edmund A. Kernighan; her grandson Stephen Campbell; her great grandchild Anna Wright; her sons-in-law, Gerald Campbell and Ray Wright; and her siblings, Frances, Phyllis, Mary, Maude, Marla, Marguerite, Myrna, Daniel and William.

She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Campbell and Dorothy Wright; her grandchildren, Debbie, Randy, Ryan and Dawn; her great grandchildren, Allison, Tréy, Ryan, Isaiah, Logan, Alaina, Gavin and Brittany; her great great grandchildren, Elliott and Lily; and her brothers, Lester Murray and Richard Murray (Barbra). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
