She was predeceased by: her parent Vincent Steeves; her husband John Sherwood; and her brothers, Walter, Ronald, Dewey, Ralph, Eldon, Harold and Donnie.

She is survived by: her parent Ruth Steeves (Duffy); her children, David Sherwood (Eldora), Donna Kingston (John), Eleanor Sherwood-Black (late Gerald) and Deborah Chevarie (Leo Cormier); her grandchildren, Shelley, Lisa, Jody, Kenny, Sheri, Sheila, Jodie, Tate, Tara and Robbie; and her brother Norman Steeves (Ruth). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
