She was predeceased by: her parents, Georges Melanson and Marguerite Melanson (Surette); her husband Robert; her son Brian; her granddaughter Cherisse; and her siblings, Helen, Elsie, Doris, Velida, Charlie, Albert and Leo.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Gauvin (Roland) of Moncton, Charles of Fitchburg, MA and Paula Eberhardt of Saint-Philippe; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth (late Brian) of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Lyndsay, Alex, Daniel, Suzanne, Carissa, Éric, Renée and Raffael; and her great grandchildren, Maxime, Caroline and Françoise. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
