She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Richard and Anna Richard (Babineau); her husband Laurie; and her siblings, Emma, Juliette, Jacqueline, Sylvie, Yvon, Noé, Odilon and Laurent.
She is survived by: her children, Yvon (Susan), Denise Melanson (Louis), Victor, Rachel Melanson (Bruce), Daniel (Shelley) and David (Ellen); and her siblings, Rose Marie Strachan (Bob), Alberte Richard (Tom McLaughlin), Benoit (late Pat), Alfred (Rita) and Paul-Émile (Louise). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
