He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Barnes and Grace Barnes (MacPherson); his siblings, David, Harold, Harry, Carl, Lennie, Edna and Helen; and his grandson Justin LeBlanc.

He is survived by: his wife Fran (Mullin); his children, Danny (Susan), Kevin (Kim), Gary (Carole) and Donna LeBlanc (Dan); his grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Matthew, Nick and Vanessa; his great grandchildren, Skyler, Cassidy, Quinn and Ava; and his siblings, Jennie, Mary, Joan, Jean and Lorne (Gail). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
