She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Lekas (Petrolecas) and Inez Lekas (Allen); her son Mark John Gillespie; and her siblings, Mike, Allan Lekas and Mary (Horsman).
She is survived by: her husband Pat Gillespie; her daughter Tina; her son-in-law Barry Lewis; her grandchildren, Stephanie and Christopher; her great grandchildren, Noah and Emilia; her stepgrandsons, Weston and Jacob; and her niece Debbie Benoit.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel (1657 Mountain Rd, Moncton, NB E1G1A5). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
