He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Bannister and Hilda Bannister (Murray); his wife Myrtle; his children, Nancy Campbell and David Bannister; the mother of his children Shirley; and his siblings, Oakley, Eugene, Etta Trites and Lillian Bannister.
He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Wilson, Cathie Way (John), Beverly Steeves (Fred), Kim Cole (Larry), Darlene Brown and Rick (Debbie); his daughter-in-law Kathy Bannister; and his stepchildren, Stuart, Paul, Ronald Costain and Velma Milburn. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Donations to the IWK Children's Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
