She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Gates and Gladys Gates (Grant). She is survived by: her husband Arthur; her children, Nancy Sherwood (Lloyd) of Fairfield, NB and Steven Long of Moncton, NB; her grandchildren, Jocelyn Malley (Josh), Justin Sherwood (Lauren), Toni Giermindl (Martin) and Jamie Long (Warren); her great grandchildren, Jordan Malley, Kurt Giermindl, Joli Giermindl, Atticus Giermindl, Astrid Giermindl and Amelia Sherwood; and her brother Edward Gates (Dorina). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
