He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney Blakney and J. Arlene Blakney (Steeves); and his brother Brian. He is survived by: his significant other Cathy Parlee; his children, Stacey-Lyn Blakney (Kyle Bowland) of Bobcaygeon, Brandon of Bobcaygeon and Amanda Grant-Fraser of Dieppe; and his sister Rhonda Beers (Gary). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
