He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy McSwain and Emma McSwain (Coones); his wife Lorraine (Després); and his siblings, Patricia Guignard (Fernand), Roy, Gerald and Eli.
He is survived by: his nieces, Nicole Richard (Paul Desrosiers) of Montréal, QC and Monique Richard of Shediac.
