It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertie Mae Canning (Moncton, New Brunswick), born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 5, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Clarence Welton; her husband Lewis J. Canning; and her son Laurie. She is survived by: her parent Elsie Welton (Brayley); her children, Major Louise Embree (Major Rick) of Tavistock, ON, Carol Harrie (Ross) of Whites Lake, NS, Lorraine Veysey (Fred) of Riverview, June Mulligan of Brampton, ON and David of Winnipeg, MB; and her brother Gordon Welton (late Trudy). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

In memory of Bertie, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
