She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Murphy and Agnes Murphy (Murray); her daughter Krista Joy Porter; her siblings, Raymond, Hubert, Neil, Greg (Laura), Pat, David and Joan; and her siblings-in-law, Sandy and Jim Caddell.
She is survived by: her husband Gary VanBuskirk of Moncton; her son Todd (Joanne); her grandchildren, Molly and William VanBuskirk; her siblings, Maureen Murphy (Bill) of Moncton, Anne Caddell of Saint John, Danny Murphy (Claudette), John Murphy (Rose) and Kevin Murphy; her sisters-in-law, Theresa, Sherill, Claire and Nancy; her uncle Jeff Porter; and her friend Cathy "Dedee" Hopper.
