He was predeceased by: his parents, Moise and Élizabeth (Thibodeau); and his siblings, Edith Leblanc of St-Bernard, N. S, Beatrice Comeau of Moncton and Irenée "Joe" of Moncton.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine (Blanchard) of Rustico; his children, Ann of Moncton, Victor (Carol-Ann) of Ottawa and Andrea of Rustico; his grandchildren, Jérémi (Joelle) of Ottawa, Michel (Anna) of Ottawa, Alex of Moncton and Océanne of Rustico; his great grandchildren, Noah, Élikia and Anderson of Ottawa; and his brother Philip of Blacks Harbour, N. B.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
