He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbourne McDonald and Mary McDonald (Goodin); his son George McDonald; and his sister Joan Hachey. He is survived by: his close friend Cindy Matchett; his son Tony McDonald of Nelson; his stepchildren, Laura-Lee Thurston of Miramichi, Melanie Thurston (Nevin) of Miramichi and Terrance Thurston (Farren) of Miramichi; his sisters, Ann McCullam of Nelson, Carmel Lee of Nelson, Betty Ann McCluskey of Miramichi and Lynda Comfort of Miramichi; his stepsister Francine Easton of Saint John; his brother Jack McDonald (Maria); and his stepbrother Ricky McDonald of Saint John. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren as well as great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
