He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Burns and Shirley Burns (Hubbard); his father-in-law Eugene Shea; and his nephew Paul Wallace. He is survived by: his wife Darla Burns (Shea); his daughter Erin Burns (Christopher Foran); his siblings, Lois Oldfield (Kenny) and Paul Burns (Paula); his mother-in-law Sandra Shea; his siblings-in-law, Natalie Mills (Garth) and Kirk Shea (Tracy); his niece Cathy Wallace; his nephews, Larry Burns (Crystal), Michael Burns (Jenna) and Cole Shea; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Flynn, Kennedy, Jonathan, Walker and Parker.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Black Horse Tavern (83 Newcastle Blvd, Miramichi, NB E1V2L8).
In Wayne's memory, donations can be made to the Miramichi SPCA or a memorial of one's choice.
