He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sonier and Laura Sonier (Richardson); his wife Emma Sonier (Comeau); and his siblings, Gerald, Melford and Jane.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy (Danny Warren) of Chatham Head, Barb Kenny of Miramichi and Michael (Nora) of Nelson; his siblings, Emelda McIntyre of Bartibog, Joanne (Colin Henderson) of Whitneyville, Betty (Howard Doyle) of Nelson, Regina Nicholson of Moncton, Tina (Sanford Russell) of Miramichi and Lee (Martha) of Nelson; and his grandchildren, Mitchell, Jesse, Justin, Michaela and Jazmine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
