It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valmont Joseph Gibbs (Miramichi, New Brunswick), born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, who passed away on April 20, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gibbs and Linda Gibbs (Martin); his wife Shirley; and his sisters, Leocadie and Exina.

He is survived by: his children, Susan Earle (Kevin) of Quispamsis, Colleen Shaw (Gary) of Quispamsis, Karen O'Hearn (Michael) of Moncton, Gary Gibbs (Carolyn) of Riverview, Brian Gibbs (Helen) of Miramichi and Kevin Gibbs (Janet) of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Matthew, Jeffery, Mark, Michael, Jamie, Andrew, Scottie, Gregory, Emily and Laura; his great grandchildren, Aydan, Tanner, Ben, Charlee, Hunter, Jettson and Henry; and his siblings, Leola (Albert Manuel), Raymonde Gibbs and Ralph Gibbs (late Alice). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
