He is survived by: his wife Violet Matthews (Dickson) of Miramichi; his children, Beverley Schwartzel (David) of Vacaville California, Sandra Matthews of London Ontario and Paul Matthews (Trish) of Dorchester; his siblings, Linda Treadwell (Bill) of Miramichi and Oliver Matthews (Rhoda) of Riverview; his grandchildren, Ryan Schwartzel of Sacramento California, Kristyn Escobedo of Sacramento California and Mitchell Matthews of Dorchester Ontario; and his great grandchildren, Ella Escobedo of Sacramento California, Kourtni-Violet Escobedo of Sacramento California and Juliet Escobedo of Sacramento California.
