Robert Matchett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Matchett (Miramichi, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Matchett and Edna Matchett (MacDonald); his wife Bernice Matchett (Taylor); his siblings, Mark, Eugene, John, Jimmy, Bernie, Hattie, Eva, Evelyn, Bertha and Vivian; and his granddaughter Melissa "Lala" Stemm.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie MacIvor (Keith) of South Esk, Linda Matchett of Miramichi, Jennifer Trevors of Miramichi and Gene Matchett of Red Bank; his brother Hughie Matchett (Carmel) of South Esk; his grandchildren, Phillip, Justin, Michael, Brooke, Bailey and Kianna; and his great grandchildren, Elexis, Skylaa, Avery, Storm, Hudson and Taliyah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Northumberland Funeral Home (102 Pleasant St, Miramichi, NB E1V1X7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a memorial of one's choice.
